Questions & Answers

In response to COVID-19, Insurance is covering telehealth or online counseling services.

How do I know if I need therapy or not?

The thought of questioning whether or not a therapist is needed typically is the first sign that you should probably speak with a professional. Everyone can use someone to talk to or lean on for support. Contact us for a free consultation and decide whether therapy is something for you.

How do I make an appointment? Do I need a referral from a physician?

Appointments can be made by calling the office, sending an email to lena.restorative@gmail.com, or stopping by the office during office hours. A referral is not needed by a physician but prior authorization may be required by your insurance company.

What should I expect in the first appointment?

During the initial appointment, clients should prepare to give an honest background of themselves. By the end of the session, the client and professional should have an idea of the approach they plan to take. If not already collected, intake and copies of required documents and cards will need to be completed as well.

How long does an average therapy session last?

An average therapy session lasts for about 45 minutes to an hour.

Do you do therapy via telehealth methods?

Conducting therapy through these means of communication solely depends on the

agreement between the therapist and/or provider and client. Most therapy sessions will be held in office or via HIPPA compliant Simple Practice unless requested elsewhere.

Is my information kept confidential?

Absolutely! Developing and maintaining our client's trust is an important aspect of our policy. In addition, by law our client's confidentiality is protected under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA). HIPPA regulations require health care providers and organizations, to develop procedures that ensure the confidentiality and security of protected health information. (PHI)

Do you accept insurance? If so, what insurances?

Yes. We accept Medicaid FFS, Silver Summit, Ambetter, Tricare, Cigna, Mines and Associates, Anthem EAP and Teachers Health Trust. We are in the process of applying for additional insurance credentialing.

What if I do not have insurance?

If you do not have insurance, Restorative offers competitive cash pay prices. For these prices, please contact the office.

I have more questions. How can I get them answered?

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the office.
